My story
From Indonesia.
At home in Hawaiʻi.
I’m Ludi Barrett, an author and songwriter. I write about the things I once struggled to say.
As a child, I carried anger, hate, and grudges I did not know how to put down. Being the second child was hard. I often felt overlooked, yet carried responsibilities before I felt ready. Those feelings belong to my story, and I take responsibility for how I carry them today.
My books, songs, and pictures grow from those memories, from family, faith, loss, and the small moments that stayed with me. Creating gives me a way to look back honestly and make room for understanding.
